Visiting a new place can bring about a bit of anxiety, even as it can be very exciting. This is often especially true when it comes to visiting a church. It can feel like visiting a foreign land, complete with its own language and culture; and, in a way, that’s exactly what you’re doing. The church really does have its own way of things: her own way of speaking, her own customs, traditions, and songs. In short: you can expect things to look and sound different from the world outside; that’s just what happens when Jesus is in charge.
If you’ve got children, know that we love having all of you in the Service. Jesus adores all the sweet and sometimes strange sounds your child makes, and so do we. If you feel you need a break, though, there is a nursery right outside the sanctuary where you can still see all that’s going on.
Our Sunday Services each last about one hour, give or take a few minutes. Again: if you’ve got kids and think they can’t sit still, don’t worry. We will be standing and sitting and singing and praying and moving and rejoicing. This is a reverent environment, but it isn’t a lecture hall.
You likely have some other questions, and so we encourage you to reach out. We can’t wait to meet you.
